These 3-ingredient Ginger Turmeric Cubes are easy to make in the blender and have all the immune-boosting qualities for the colder months. Make them into an easy golden milk latte using your favorite nut milk to enjoy every day for so many anti-inflammatory benefits.

When it comes to the winter and colder months, keeping my immunity strong is one of my top priorities. I developed these immune-boosting Ginger Turmeric Cubes with that thought in mind. They’re so easy to make with just 3 ingredients and can last up to two months in the freezer.

All you need is a blender and in about 5 minutes you’ve prepped this awesome recipe. Once the cubes have frozen, I turn them into a delicious Golden Milk Latte that I’ve also provided the recipe for as well. It’s how I start every morning and I can’t wait for you to as well!

Both ginger and turmeric have amazing qualities to improve your immunity through anti-inflammation and antioxidants. We add black pepper to the latte as well, this is so essential when using turmeric as it helps the body to absorb all of the nutritious qualities turmeric has to offer.

Be sure to try some of my other delicious drink recipes like this Blueberry Smoothie or Mint Chocolate Recovery Smoothie.

Ingredients

Ginger Turmeric Cubes

  • Fresh ginger: Packs a punch of fresh, tangy flavor and is the base for making these cubes. Ginger has incredible anti-inflammatory properties and is great for gut health as well.
  • Fresh turmeric: This dyes your hands easily so beware! The flavor is more earthy, making it an ideal pairing for the fresh ginger flavor. It’s rich in curcumin which helps greatly with inflammation and digestion.
  • Freshly ground black pepper: Essential for being able to absorb turmeric correctly in the body.

Golden Milk

  • Ginger turmeric cube: From the recipe below!
  • Ground cinnamon: Adds warm spice flavor and has also been found to help regulate blood sugar.
  • Sweetener of choice: I like honey or maple syrup for this latte, both are delicious and not processed.
  • Nut milk or half water and half nut milk: Choose your favorite here, I love almond cashew milk for this.

How to Make Ginger Turmeric Cubes

  1. In the carafe of a high speed blender, add the ginger, turmeric, black pepper, and water. Blend until very smooth.
  2. Pour evenly into an ice cube mold and freeze for at least 4 hours or until solid.
  3. Pop out the cubes and store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 months.

Make the Golden Milk Latte:

  1. To an electric milk frother or in a small saucepan on the stove over medium-low heat, add 1 ginger turmeric cube, cinnamon, sweetener of choice, and nut milk.
  2. Turn the frother on and allow to heat and froth the drink until very hot. If using a saucepan, allow to heat until the cube has dissolves. Stir everything to combine. Whisk vigorously if you want to make the drink frothy. Pour into a mug and serve.

Expert Tips

  • Be sure to buy fresh ginger and turmeric. This is essential to receiving all of the health benefits of both roots. They not only provide immune-boosting qualities but are also great for gut health and are anti-inflammatory in nature.
  • Adding black pepper activates the turmeric. By adding a hint of black pepper, this allows the turmeric to actually be absorbed into the body correctly, making sure you receive all of the powerful health benefits of the root.
  • Enhance the Golden Milk with extracts and spices. Add your other favorite spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom as well as extracts like vanilla for a twist on the flavors.
  • Add coconut oil to the latte. Just half a spoonful is plenty. This adds creaminess to the texture but also healthy fats to the drink as well that keeps you fuller longer.
  • Use the ginger turmeric cubes in smoothies. These are also perfect to add to a smoothie for breakfast or a snack mid-day.
  • Wear gloves when handling turmeric. It stains easily! So be cautious when using this ingredient.

Storage

Store these cubes in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 months to use in your favorite drinks, lattes, and smoothies.
